I wish I could put a higher rating but I cannot. And I guess we had to order what ordered everyone around - a pizza. But since the restaurant had a big variety of other dishes, we decided to try something else. We took ravioli (which somehow were tasteless), meat (which was overcooked and hard to chew); moreover we waited for all the dishes for too long and in the end they brought the wrong dessert. The only positive note was a very kind waitress that took orders (a woman with black hair). I wish we have ordered pizza
Piccinni 28 offers exceptionally fresh seafood, refined presentation, and attentive service. Elegant ambiance and balanced flavors make it an outstanding dining experience.
We visited on Sunday for lunch without a reservation. It was very crowded, but the manager kindly gave us a table and menus. The staff were very friendly, and we felt warmly welcomed as Asians. The slightly burnt signature spaghetti (as you can see in the photo) was fantastic, and the wine was also excellent. If I visit Bari again, I would definitely love to come back.
Piccinni28 is a restaurant and pizzeria in Bari. Even though the place is quite spacious, we booked in advance just to be safe. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and they escorted us to our table. The menu is accessed via QR code and is very extensive, with plenty of options to choose from. We started with a trio of fish carpaccios—everything was absolutely delicious. Then we moved on to the pizza: generously topped, light dough, perfectly cooked. Nothing to complain about. Overall, a very satisfying experience and definitely a place I’d recommend.
We went under instruction to try the spaghetti all’assassina for a travel feature on Bari. We stuck to typical Barese dishes, which meant choosing sgagliozze (fried polenta) - something we are not great fans of! However, and to our surprise, this was the finest sgagliozze we’ve tasted. We’d (almost) be tempted to have it again. The assassina was excellent. It had a slightly different texture and less savoury depth than our own version, perhaps a little more contemporary, but nevertheless it was deeply delicious. We knew the dessert we were having, but asked for a local speciality. Fortunately our waiter recommended the exact same dolce. The sporcamuss (which means dirty mouth in local dialect). It came beautifully presented, and the pastry was crisp, a sign that it was freshly made. Friendly service and good value - a happy meal indeed. Oh, we were sitting opposite the pizza oven and saw the most amazing pizze being served up).
