i love love love love looooove this place. they serve the best pizza ever, and the atmosphere is soo nice ❤️
One of the best risottos I have ever had. Staff was super friendly and helpful, very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere as well as very reasonable prices.Pizzas and the pastas were so good as well.
Excellent. Pricey but well worth it. Winner of an international prize (best 70 pizzerie in the world), the dough at Giotto is absolutely special (made with agrumes, riso Venere, beer, etc. to better match the toppings). This is high-end restaurant food on amazing pizza dough. Special pizze are 15 to 20EU. Good selection of artisan beers too.
Modern pizzeria, located in a new residential area of Bari, Giotto offers a menu with a few appetizers, first and second courses but the focus is on the pizza. They have classical ones and modern ones. Modern meaning not contemporary Neapolitan but use of less classical ingredients (fish, ricotta, creams and so on) on alternative doughs (cereals, whole grain, kamut). I recommend sharing more than taking a whole pie since they are pretty loaded and this type of doughs are quite filling. After dinner didn’t have any problems though and actually felt lighter than normal after pizza. Service was good but with some little hiccups. Overall is recommended to try a different approach on pizza and to share courses.
Let's start from the positive aspects: the pizza was excellent and all the ingredients of a terrific quality, but...something's still missing for a five star. Yes, it was Saturday and the place was overcrowded. Yet some more organisation at the entrance, to avoid bunches of people staying stuck inside and outside waiting to know where to go, would have helped. Too many people and lack of organisation bring to inefficient service: we staid almost 10 minutes sitting at our table waiting for someone to bring us a menu, and eventually had to stop a waiter an ask. Waiters had to snaking through the people to reach the tables and the kitchen, and too often they had to yell out to pass. And even more disappointing they yelled out one eachother while serving, joking and laughing. About food...everything was good, just the dessert a little bit under my espectations, but fine. Would I go back there again? Maybe not for the weekend
