Osteria Piazzetta Cattedrale

My meal here was magnificent. I did the €35 euro set menu (which is an absolute bargain) that came with five courses. Each course was cooked to perfect, unique in its own sense and went together perfectly. Our last meal was brought out by the chef who just looked to be the sweetest lady. This could easily be the best meal I have ever eaten. You can tell how much love and care goes into this restaurant. The table next to us even booked again for the following night! To avoid disappointment definitely book!!

This was my second time to this Gem on the hill, and it was just as good if not better then the first time i went. It is a small quaint restaurant run and owned by a husband wife team, the Husband runs the front and the wife is the chef. They both run this restaurant like seasoned professionals, the wife's food is flawless, each course not only a work of art but perfectly layered flavors that make you wish you didn't have to swallow it so you could tadte it forever. My biggest problem here is trying not to order too much because there is so many magical things on the menu. They do have a few tasting menus to choose from as well as the option to order À la carte , i did the tasting the first time i went and À la carte the second time both times anazing. The Husband is an expert with wines and the best Front endceverything I've ever met, his wine knowledge is amazing, his attention to detail and service is notable. This restaurant is truly one of the best restaurants in Ostuni and cant wait to go back when im there in a couple months again.

The best food I had in my last trip to Italy was at this Michelin recommended restaurant. It’s a very small place, so be sure to book in advance for dinner or try your luck for lunch.

One of my favorite meals in all of Italy. It’s as good as Enoteca Pinchiori ( Florence) but without the high price or pretension.

Visited in October 2025: Food ok but nothing special, rather expensive, unfriendly staff though, not making it a nice experience, especially with a 8yo child. Won’t recommend at all. Overrated a lot. The fact that the owner subsequently then posts a reply that this is not possible, because “they are closed in Jan-Feb”, rather than seeking for the understanding of what went wrong, exactly illustrates my point of not caring about the visitor, even though the food was ok. Been to restaurants of higher level, where also the service towards a family is much better. Get your basics right and focus on your customer first. It will help you improve a lot. Because there is definitely potential.
