La Gassa d'Amante

Wonderful place, with the greatest and freshest seafood! All the dishes were perfectly done and in cooked to the perfection. The host, Toni is a great person, as it helped us with all the questions and gave us really tasty recommendations. If you are in Bari and want to go for a truly traditional dinner, then think no more, La Gassa d'Amante is the place to book. I would recommend booking in advance as it is a small cosy place that gets filled quite fast. Can't recommend enough!!!!

Great staff , very helpful and caring , we had a bit of a trouble finding entrance to restaurant, waiter came to find us :) Food just delish , one of best pastas I eat.

A beautiful experience! Me and my fiancé were recommended to come here by a friend who is local in the area as it was one of the best restaurants in Bari for beautiful seafood and pasta. It was amazing. The food had so many different layers of delicious flavour with beautiful textures. The truffle tuna tacos are a must try, as is the pasta with truffle flakes shaved on top. The team that served us were very friendly and had great dish and wine recommendations. We were worried at the start, that we may have been intruding as tourists in a local spot, but those worries were put to rest as the team looked after us very well and even gave us complimentary Amaro after our meal. Thank you for the delicious food and amazing service! Highly recommend.

Absolute gem! Amazing place with suberb food... we came here for my birthday lunch. The entrance is a bit tricky. You have to go through the university sport complex. Inside is a nice (a little elgant place), but the food quality is amazing. We ordered tacos with white truffle and tuna tartare, oysters, and seafood salad. For main, we had lobster catalanian style and pasta with truffle. It was accompanied by a bottle of local white wine and a 2 espressos. All came to 130 eur, which is amazing. Highly recomend!

We had a lovely lunch here a few weeks ago. Service was fast and the food was delicious. All our pasta dishes were fantastic and the sea salad was very refreshing. The only slightly disappointing dish was the slow cooked octopus. It didn’t have much flavour compared to the other dishes and the sauce wasn’t what I’d expect from a chimichurri. Apart from that the food and wine was great quality and the service was very friendly.
